Controversies over "Fake" MR-less SNSD

It has been stated that the MR-less version of SNSD's Hoot was an edited version and fake.

In recent online community forums, SNSD's Hoot, Genie, Oh! has been edited by decreasing the volume of the background music and sharply raising the volume of the girls' vocals.

Especially, the netizens focus on Hoot. In the MR-less version of Hoot, SNSD seemed to be out of breath and unstable in their tune.

Netizens who came across these videos said "I didn't know their vocals were as bad as this", "This is shocking", "I hope they would practice more" and other comments that expressed their disappointment.

However, some states that "The editors cut off some parts of their vocals to make it seem like they weren't singing the whole thing", "The editors put fake voices into the video so that SNSD looks like they can't sing" and other supporting ideas that backs up the rumor of "Fake" MR-less version.

On the other hand, SNSD achieved 1st place in the Oricon chart in a short period of time. And now, they are promoting Hoot in Korea by making a surprise comeback.
