[My informal greeting and self-introduction to you guys; some things will be repeated but don't mind it]
안녕, my name is Shwanah Yang. Okay, so I'm not that great at telling things about
myself but I'll try! So please bare with me just this once, okay? Where should I start...
It was back in 2005 when I was an obsessed 10-year-old fan girl of boy groups. I was
in love with DBSK and Super Junior. I even had DBSK and Super Junior pictures that
were cut-out from the internet taped onto every single notebook that I owned. I was
quite biased to boy groups back then and now thinking about it, I find it pretty hilarious
and cute! Anyways, during 2007 that was the year that SNSD debuted...I honestly didn't
even know who they were except the fact that they were in the same company as DBSK
and Super Junior. Besides them, the only girls groups I knew were "WonKa". I wasn't
a huge fan of them either, but I liked their music. I did have some favorite people from
the two groups though, such as Yoobin (best rapper ever) and Nicole/Sungyeon from
Kara.

Mid-way between 2007-2008 I came across this infamous website called "Shenyuepop".
I read all the blogs written about SNSD. Everything I read was either about SNSD being
disrespectful to their seniors or insulting their senors. I was awed, I couldn't believe that
a group called "Girls' Generation" would act like that. I even thought, "These girls aren't
worthy enough to represent OUR generation." I was so frustrated and angry at them I
began to hate them that very day, everyday for a few weeks. I know that's not long. but even
then after I got over being an anti of SNSD's, I still didn't find them very "charming" or "nice".
I looked at them with anger and dislike. It took me about five to seven months to fully know
who they truly were as people and learned that they're not what antis claim them to be. It
was during their golden comeback year 2009, "Gee", that I truly began becoming a fan of
SNSD. I couldn't believe that I hated these nine angels who were just being themselves,
who loved what they did for a living, who are passionate, who are caring, who deserve
much more than happiness for they've been through. I am ashamed that I was an anti
before, but I'm glad that's changed. Now everyday I look forward to hearing, seeing, and
speaking SNSD. I can honestly say that they've made me a better person. SNSD's not just
beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well.
Hence, in the spring of April 2010 I founded AntiSTANDable on YouTube. I've "killed two
birds with one stone" by clearing up misunderstandings about SNSD and getting rid of
my awful sins. Thank goodness! And thanks to SNSD I was able to dance onstage for
the first time since I'm not the type of person to do those "crazy" things and I've lost 30lbs.
I'm just really thankful and appreciative that Girls' Generation exists. Thanks to the unnies
I've come to experience many great things in life! Gomayo SNSD! Saranghaeyo!
