‘Babo’ audition failure was a blessing in disguise for Sooyoung

On SBS TV’s “Strong Heart – Royal Family Special” aired on November 30th, Sooyoung talked about how her experience in an audition for a drama. After listening to CN Blue member, Kang Minhyuk’s story on how he lost a role in a drama to fellow member, Jung Yonghwa in an audition, Sooyoung said, “Before debut, I’ve attended a lot of acting auditions too”.

Sooyoung said, “The most unforgettable audition I had was for the movie ‘Babo (Miracle Of A Giving Fool)‘. I wanted a role in the movie so badly but in the end Park Hasun was given the role”.

In the movie, Park Hasun played a role as a younger sister to the male actor, Cha Taehyun. According toSooyoung, she participated in the audition for this role.

Sooyoung added, “If I were to be casted for ‘Babo’, my debut with SNSD will be affected. After debuted withSNSD, I heard Park Hasun received a lot of attentions from that movie. I think everyone has their own time for everything. Therefore, Minhyuk will do well this time around”. For Sooyoung, the failure in the audition was a blessing in disguise.

Kang Minhyuk is currently being casted for SBS Monday-Tuesday drama “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Daughter”.

Idols rank their own popularities within their groups

Idols that participated in the November 30th episode of SBS’s variety program, “Strong Heart,” were asked to rank their their roles in their respective groups.

MC Lee Seung Ki began by informing Moon Hee Jun, “Tony An previously made an appearance here and stated that he was the key person of H.O.T.“, to which Moon Hee Jun retorted, “Key? This is why we need to come out together! For five years, I was the most popular person in the group.”

Yet despite his assertion, the studio refused to believe him.

Super Junior’s Donghae added, “In Korea, I think my popularity’s ranked about third or fourth out of our 13 members. But if you take all of Asia into consideration, I think I’m at least first or second.”

SNSD’s Yuri went on, “My popularity went down a bit at our debut, but it’s going up again hot. I think I’m at least ranked first.”

After School’s Lizzy stated, “When I last compared our fancafe numbers, I came in about third. UEEand Kahi are battling it out for first and second.”

Yuri feels the ‘burden’ everytime she goes to Japan

On SBS ‘Strong Heart’ aired on November 30th, Yuri talked about the ‘burden’ she has while carrying out SNSD‘s activities in Japan.

According to Yuri, SNSD who wore hot pants (which revealed their beautiful legs) during ‘Genie’ debut in Japan were labeled as ‘Beautiful Legs Group’ ever since. When they were featured on TV shows, there were talks about their legs. Yuri added that the camera would even focus on their legs.

Due to the fact that a lot of interest and attention were directed to their legs during broadcasts, she felt that it was really a burden. Yuri explained that every time they are off to Japan, she would be spending more time and attention on her legs rather than her face. Especially when there are wounds, cuts and bruises on the legs, these visible marks have to be covered up with make-ups.

Yuri then gave everyone a good laugh when she revealed the truth behind ‘Beautiful Legs Group’ by saying, “SNSD members’ legs are generally not beautiful. Only a few are beautiful. There are members with shorts legs and some have thick legs.
