Okay, so I need your opinion on something. As I don't think you're an overly obsessed SONE, I thought you'd be the best person to ask. I know this is an old topic but I'm knew to SNSD and a friend told me about the racist comment Taeyeon made about Alicia Keys. As a black female myself, I was pretty shocked and well.. I'm not sure if I can like someone who says something mean about my own race. What's your opinion about it, do you think she's racist or has the media blown it out of proportion?
Actually, this all stemmed from a mistranslation and international antis seizing on it. This came at dark time in SONE fandom when we had our backs to the walls and were surrounded by people looking for anything to kill the girls with.
The media never commented on it, despite the fact that she is the leader of one Korea’s most popular girl groups. Doesn’t that say something about the validity of claims of those accusing her of racism?
