Psy’s “Gangnam Style” breaks Girls’ Generation’s “Gee” consecutive win record on ‘Music Bank’

Psy set yet another record for himself.

Psy beat Lee Hi for the #1 spot on the November 16th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Music Bank‘ winning for the 10th week in a row.

Psy previously set a new record for the most number of most wins on the show with 13 wins including this week. However, his consecutive win streak had been broken byKARA‘s “Pandora” after the 3rd week. Undeterred, the song kept winning #1 after that, building up more and more consecutive wins. The win today marked his 10th consecutive one on Music Bank, which was good enough to beat out the record previously set by Girls’ Generation‘s “Gee” with 9 consecutive wins.

This record is even more surprising because he never performed “Gangnam Style” on ‘Music Bank’.

Okay, so I need your opinion on something. As I don't think you're an overly obsessed SONE, I thought you'd be the best person to ask. I know this is an old topic but I'm knew to SNSD and a friend told me about the racist comment Taeyeon made about Alicia Keys. As a black female myself, I was pretty shocked and well.. I'm not sure if I can like someone who says something mean about my own race. What's your opinion about it, do you think she's racist or has the media blown it out of proportion?

Actually, this all stemmed from a mistranslation and international antis seizing on it. This came at dark time in SONE fandom when we had our backs to the walls and were surrounded by people looking for anything to kill the girls with.

The media never commented on it, despite the fact that she is the leader of one Korea’s most popular girl groups. Doesn’t that say something about the validity of claims of those accusing her of racism?

Consider for a moment.
Imagine if Lady Gaga made a racist comment tomorrow.
Would the media let that one slide?

I'm a recording artist as well as a composer and arranger. I love music; it is my greatest passion, as well as the drive of my life. I love listening, playing and making music.

My main instrument is the guitar. Ive been playing for around 4 years self taught. Other than that I played trumpet in Concert band and Jazz band. I also taught myself a little piano, and singing and I'm now teaching myself how to play the erhu and viola. I always love experimenting and learning about new instruments. Yesh! It's finally here! A few of you might have heard the preview of it so here's the full version! I had to re-record this song because the first time result was dreadful...but I did do this cover from scratch for various reasons....one of them was because I didn't want to get detected for copyright and another reason was because I wanted to give the song a more rock-ish feel, cause I was sort of confident that it would've been worse with the original backing track. Anyways, hope you'll enjoy this! ^^
